Good morning everyone!
Training camp and my launch date are coming up quick, I leave for training camp in less than three weeks! It is so exciting and freaky at the same time how fast things are coming up. I’m excited to go on this crazy adventure and experience and meet the people I will be experiencing life with for one year.
Through this experience I have needed to fundraise for the trip too, I am still fundraising to be fully funded by April 2020 and almost at my December goal to start this journey. Something that has been an amazing experience and something that I haven’t truly experience while fundraising before is the community that is built up and seen.
For me the joy in fundraising has been the people who have supported me, financially but also spiritually. Last month I had a fundraising event called World Bingo Night. It was a fun night filled with bingo games, baskets drawings, snacks and connecting with people. This night I really felt the love and support from people, we made a lot financially from that night, but also in building prayer support as well. I have never needed to raise so much money for something and this experience has really pushed me to go out of my comfort zone and has brought people into my life who I maybe would have never met if not for fundraising and raising support. There were a few moment during that night where I needed to physically turn away from everyone because of the love I felt and was starting to choke up. People and loved ones are so giving, of time, money and simply being there to support. That for me has been the best experience so far.
THANK YOU THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has supported me thus far. I couldn’t go without you and can’t thank you enough for supporting me and praying for me and all God has planned.
Here are a few prayer requests if you could keep these in your prayers:
- For me to really connect and take every chance I can to build community when I am still here in the states; to be present
- Have peace with leaving, I know it will be hard so prayer for ease in that.
- My team and me to be fully fundraised
- My team and me to be spiritually ready for all God has planned
- The people we will meet, prepare their heart and ours to spread the love of Jesus
