It is always amazing to me thinking about God’s love and sacrifice. The fact that Jesus would take on every one of our sins, every single pain that we have felt or done is something so humbling I will never truly understand. One thing I do understand though is how thankful I am for all He did. Most importantly, how he rose again after three days! I wonder what the disciples and all His followers were thinking during the time when Jesus died on the cross and when He rose again. This was not the way they expected Jesus to conquer the world but it was so much more powerful than they thought.
Luke 24: 6-8
“’He is not here, but is risen! Remember how he spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ And they remembered His words.”
We are all like Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary and all the other followers of Jesus, sometimes we need to be reminded of God’s great promises for each of us. The best promise is that when we commit to Him we will be forgiven and set free, that we can have an open and loving relationship with our father AND Lord.
He died on the cross a horrific death to have a relationship with you. YOU. How amazing is that?! I hope during this Easter weekend we remember that great promise and to tell people who may have never heard it before.
Happy Easter, HE IS RISEN!!!
