test

Hi everyone! I’ve got some news to tell you all, I will be going on a later route that will be leaving in January next year. This route will be going to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Serbia, Albania, and Turkey. This was not an easy decision, but after a lot of prayer and going back and forth between the two routes, I decided that January was the better option.

Here is a picture of the journey I will be on now!

Why the change you may ask?

The biggest part is time. Time to take an ASL Interpreting test which I need to take within two years after my college graduation. By the time I get back it will be past two years and I would need to take more classes and other things to catch up, which is why it would be good to work on passing this test. I don’t know what I want to do later on, but I know that I would like to keep options open if God does want me to be an interpreter one day.

Another reason is learning to grow where I am at right now and making the most of the time I’m here. I have started a new job with KinderCare as well taking on the role of a substitute paraprofessional with Metro Deaf School (while keeping my after-school student life job). Tomorrow will be my first day with KinderCare, but even my first impression from my interview I can tell it is going to be a fun experience and with great people. Throughout this past school year with Metro Deaf School I have enjoyed getting to know each one of the staff members and students and really think staying until January next year will give me an opportunity to get closer in those relationships.

One of the hardest parts of changing when I would be leaving has been the change of route. Many of the countries I had been planning to go to I have been praying for and because of that make me more excited and ready to go to those places. Specifically, the countries of India, Morocco, and Djibouti; places that I never really had a huge interest in going to but now will be thinking of them more and the people there, praying that more and more people will hear the name of Jesus (especially my former team still leaving in June!).

The biggest lesson that God has been teaching me through this is trusting in Him and what He has told me to do even if the plans have changed. Something that I know is important in life but especially when I go on the world race.

Leaving later will not make leaving any easier, but if I can tell even one person the Great news of Christ it makes it all worth it. To Him be the glory <3

Thank you all for your support through prayer and finances, I thank God everyday for you all and that He has put you all in my life. I want to be praying for you all as well so please don’t be afraid to message me how I can be praying for you and your families, I want to invest in you all as well! ??

Because of the changes in when I will be going my fundraising goals have changed too, here they are if you are at all interested to know:
