The Race (USA) So Far…

So we’ve been on the road for two months now!! Crazy but have had some amazing moments as well as some hard moments too, something I want to get more into in future blogs. I wanted to give you all a little snap shot of what we have done as well as some pictures to go along with it. Hope you enjoy!

My teammate has a YouTube channel of our experiences ministry and adventures days if you want to check them out! 🙂 Hannah’s YouTube Channel

Monument, Colorado: July 1st – July 27th

  • Ministering to one another and processing through our past three months back in the states
  • Working with Crossfire Ministry – Helping sort food, pray for people and taking the time to get to know the people that would come in to get food.
    • One cool thing about the ministry, they give the food to anyone that needs it and have an overabundance of food which is such a blessing!
  • Helping at a farm doing fence work and other jobs needed around the farm to get ready for a Watermelon Patch Event (With covid-19 their funds were low so they decided to hold another event!)

Minster, Colorado: July 28th – August 6th

  • Building bunk beds for the men’s ministry (Reclaim Ministry), I helped build a triple decker bunk bed from start to finish! In total we helped build 17 beds for the ministry which was really good to see
  • Going out to trails and helping with trash clean up and talking to people on the trails, getting to know their stories and praying for their needs and walk.

Layton, Utah: August 9th – August 18th

  • ATL (Ask The Lord). Going out without a plan but asking the Lord where to go. It’s actually really cool because one day we went to Ogden, Utah and I was able to give my bible away to someone who really needed it and was so excited to have a bible of his own. Such a cool story and one I hope to share with you all later on!
  • Ministered around the Mormon temple and talking to different people about their story and why we are here, telling them about Jesus and the hope He gives.
  • Help sort clothing and food for a church ministry in the area. Great ministry that serves people in the community with food and clothing drives, prison ministry, and outreach in a tough area.
  • Had a worship night in the park with some people we had met on our ATL days.
  • Went to where the movies The Sandlot and High School Musical were filmed!
  • Three of my squadmates decided to rededicate their lives to Christ and got baptized again!!

Canby, Oregon: August 20th – September 3rd

Our Next Stop…(drum roll…)

Bellingham, Washington! We will be there for a mini debrief of the last two months (crazy to think it’s been two months!) as well as teachings and outreach in the community. We leave tomorrow to be there for two weeks, prayers for safe traveling and open hearts when we get there would be amazing and very much appreciated.

Prayer Request:

  • Continued healing for everyone on my squad, our leader Erica had covid so healing for her and protection for everyone else, especially a few people who are higher risk (have diabetes and have epilepsy).
  • Open hearts to really dig deep this next few weeks in what the Lord is teaching us and where He wants us to grow
  • California Wildfires
  • The Awakening – an event we will be putting on in Bellingham, Washington; things to go smoothly, for those attending to be open to what God wants to share with them, for us to be obedient to the Lord and what we need to do
  • PEACE: sickness and covid can be scary but knowing God does have control and to trust in Him through all situations (taking precautions as well as stepping out in faith)

  1. I love this blog and the way you’ve shared your experience so far through picture collages and lists! Love your heart

  2. I might be a little embarrassed that my favorite pictures were the first couple because that’s when you were at my house and my heart was full. JK.
So proud of your open heart to serve wherever Papa leads you. Love you lady!
